Pioneer to release upgraded Nexus CDJ and mixer
The gear is due out in February
Pioneer's esteemed Nexus line, industry standard in clubs across the world, has two new additions on the way.
The CDJ-2000NXS2 deck has improved sound quality with a 96 kHz/24-bit soundcard and 32-bit D/A converter, easier usability with the QWERTY keyboard touchscreen and the Hot Cue function has been improved to include two sets of four custom cue points. Beat quantisation can also now be divided into tighter fractions, and FLAC and ALAC files are now supported (which will please the audiophiles out there).
The DJM-900NXS2 mixer also has a number of upgraded features, including the same new soundcard as the CDJs with a 64-bit mixing processor, enhanced EQ, fader curves and level metering, and new 14 beat FX tools such as ping-pong delay and revamped reverb.
