Ecstasy pill presses are by no means boring, we already know that. They come in all shapes, sizes and colours and are pressed with all sorts of logos, from YouTube and Warner Brothers to UPS and Mitsubishi.
Rather than just limiting the use of pills to the club and mind-opening experiences, a whole bunch of artists have used them to their advantage. The artworks might not be a a suitable present for your grandparents to unwrap at Christmas, but they're certainly worth shouting about.
One artist who's used pingers to showcase his creative mind is Chemical X, the guy behind the original Ministry Of Sound logo. Then there's Zeus, the Londoner whose series Love Is A Drug sees him hand-mould pills, cast them in plaster and frames them. One guy, Scott Blake, has even created a self-portrait using images of rave beans.
The most expensive example we've seen comes courtesy of Daniel David, turning disco biscuits into giant, hand-carved stone sculptures and selling them for up to £1000.
