Philips have announced one of the first headphones to use a Lightning Connector.

Using a high quality connection to an iOS device of choice, the Philips Fidelo M2Ls pack in a range of features designed to make your music sound as accurate and clear as possible.

Philips have given the Fidelio M2Ls a Lightning Connector, so you plug them in where you'd usually charge your iPhone or iPad. This bypasses your iDevice's own DAC or Digital to Analog chip, a chip which converts signals into sound - and something that mobile devices often cut costs on. Instead, Philips routes your music through its own DAC, built into the headphones. As a result, the Philips Fidelio M2L's promise easy, high resolution listening - without the need for a separate DAC.

To make sure your tracks sound as good as the artist intended, Philips have also crammed high-bandwidth, high-precision neodymium drivers into the Fidelio M2Ls. Leather, memory foam ear pads also ensure that listening will be isolated, yet comfortable - perfect for the last train home.

The Philips Fidelio M2L headphones will be available for €249.99 from December.
