Philipp Gorbachev
Dread-filled techno for the first release on his label PG Tune
Make your way through Philipp Gorbachev's SoundCloud page and what you'll get is a load of searing techno cuts, the kind that mess with your head and knock you off balance.
The Russian artist's numerously released on Cómeme, including 2013's trip-inducing 'Hero Of Tomorrow' EP, which had vocals from Mathias Aguayo, and last year's debut LP, 'Silver Album'.
Taking a break from Cómeme, he's behind the first release on his label PG Tune, and 'Power Of The Funk' ensures things kick off with a major punch.
Despite the bright xylophone rings, Gorbachev has put together a smoke-filled piece of techno darkness that lives up to its title, for sure. Those words are chanted throughout and this sure is powerful stuff.
'Power Of The Funk' is released via PG Tune on June 1
