A graphic novel by Paul Oakenfold is coming to a book store near you
'The Wonderful World Of Perfecto’ will be released alongside an original soundtrack
Paul Oakenfold will release his first book later this year, accompanied by an original soundtrack.
The acclaimed artist is set to share the “not quite true” story of his life in the form of a graphic novel, titled .
Collaborating with a range of artists on the book, the story will document his “historic career rise to fame, fortune and musical nirvana”, according to the press release.
Each collaboration is set to chart a different time period in the DJ’s life, from “his residency at CREEM MAGAZINE” to “drinking absinthe with Hunter S Thompson and touring with U2”.
The novel is part of a new initiative by Z2 Comics to publish music-centric comics, with each release accompanied by an original soundtrack.
Z2 Comics co-publisher Josh Frankel explained: “We think bringing together music and graphic novels can be the secret sauce of Z2 Comics”, with his fellow co-publisher Sridhar Reddy calling it “an honour” to publish Oakenfold’s first book.
