'Lowrider' has been doing the business recently and we've got the premiere
Whenever we get sent anything from German powerhouse Kompakt we know it's going to be of a certain quality. In fact it's always bloody brilliant and whether it's heavy-hitting techno, dreamscape house or side-winding electro, it hits the sweet spot every time.
Next up on the label is Patrice Bäumel and he's delivered some more gold standard electronic music. His 'Speicher 85' features two tracks that both pack a serious punch. 'The Vanishing' is a synth-loaded trip through razor-sharp twangs and groove-fuelled percussion while 'Low Rider' is a no-holds-barred monster.
We've got the premiere of the latter and if you've been out to the discotheque over the last few weeks then you'll have no doubt heard this being dropped to maximum love.
The main crux of the track is drums, in fact it's mainly just drums but don't let that deter you. There are tantalising, builds, expertly-timed drops and a large amount of gnarly low-end rumblings. Check it.
