Parklife to reduce ticket price for 2024 to promote accessibility

In an European exclusive, Chris Lake and FISHER will be bringing their Under Construction project to Manchester

Manchester’s Parklife Festival has revealed that it will lower the price of tickets for its next event in 2024 in a bid to become “more accessible for all”.

Previously marked at £129.50, the next edition of Parklife - which is set to take place from June 8 to June 9 next year at Heaton Park - will be lowered to £125 for the weekend.

Alongside the announcement, Parklife revealed the first headliners due to perform in 2024. In a European first, Fisher and Chris Lake will come together as Under Construction, performing a headline set at the festival’s Hangar stage — this will be their only performance in Europe of 2024.

The news follows record demand for tickets in 2023 and is said to be an “industry first” amongst a swathe of ticket price hikes, including Glastonbury’s cost-push to £335 this year, up 26% from 2020.

The festival claimed the reduction will be made in an effort to “make Parklife and festivals as a whole more accessible to generations of music fans”.

Similarly, both Creamfields and Wireless Festival drove ticket prices up by at least 17% in 2023, with Time Out reporting that the UK has the fastest-rising festival prices in the world.

The house stars will go back to back in an exclusive European performance, claimed by Parklife to be the “most talked about electronic performances of the year.”

160,000 people are expected to head to Parklife in 2024. This year saw the likes of Fred again.., Little Simz, The Prodigy, Skrillex, and Aitch perform across the festival’s two days.

The full programme for Parklife 2024 will be revealed in January. Pre-sale tickets are on sale from today, December 6. General sale will be released on Friday, December 8, at 10:AM. Grab yours here.
