Paris venue Le Bataclan hopes to reopen before the end of year

It closed in November after being the target of a terrorist attack

Le Bataclan, the venue violently targeted in Paris last November, plans to reopen before the year's out.

The owners of the live concert space, where 89 people lost their lives last year, released a statement yesterday, saying "we'll do our best to host events before the end of 2016".

A terrorist attack, which militant group ISIS claimed responsibility for, during a gig by band Eagles of Death Metal led to the closure, with a number of other clubs in the French capital city briefly closing.

However, a week after the events, club owners came out fighting, claiming "no one and nothing will stop Paris from dancing".

St Germain, Octave One, Lee Curtiss and Barem have all played at Le Bataclan in the past.
