Paris nightclubs forced to cancel events due to severe flooding
Concrete, Batofar and more have made announcements
A collection of nightclubs in Paris have been forced to cancel events this weekend due to severe flooding of the Seine River.
Multiple days of non-stop, heavy rain caused the banks of the Seine River to overflow. According to NBC News, over 400 homes have been evacuated due to flooding and power outages.
Many of the city’s nightclubs have announced they will not be open this weekend as a result of the flood, including Concrete, Batofar, Petit Bain, Nuits Fauves and Faus. Concrete shared the news on Facebook, writing “because of the flood, we will have to, with great regret, cancel the events of the weekend,” adding in the comments “if we had the solution, trust us, we would use it.”
Artists that were scheduled to play at these venues include Daniel Bell, Anja Schneider, Ø [Phase] and Ion Ludwig, among others.
