Owners of XOYO and The Nest promise "great nightclub" for South London

It will take over from Plan B

Brixton will soon be home to a "great nightclub" operated by the people behind XOYO and The Nest.

Speaking to Mixmag, Andy Peyton, Head of Music for both venues, said: "We've got a very specific plan which no one else is doing in London."

Earlier today we reported that Plan B had closed down and would be reopening under new ownership later this year.

On making the move over the Thames, Peyton said: "We really want that space and we think we can make it a great nightclub... It's going to be unrecognisable [from how it looked previously.]"

The club will have a new name, layout and programming policy and will open its doors in September.

The company behind XOYO, The Nest and this new venture will also open a restaurant in Brixton soon. It will be on the site previously occupied by the Electric Social.

A full announcement about the club will be made within two weeks.
