Oliver Heldens in The Lab LA
The Dutch producer shows us what he's all about
The Lab Los Angeles is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective's weekly post-work unwind where we stream only the finest American and international DJs, live and direct from our Downtown LA office. This week, we welcome Oliver Heldens into The Lab LA.
Getting his start at just 17, wunderkind Oliver Heldens immediately caught the attention of electronic music aficionados. In just four mere years in the spotlight, the Dutch prodigy has already nabbed numerous crowning positions with hits like 'Koala' and 'Gecko' and launched off his own Heldeep Records label. As if that wasn't enough, Oliver most recently revealed his new moniker Hi-Lo as his new name for his tech house-skewed style.
Spring season welcomes the busiest time of year for electronic music, and Oliver is no exception. A bus tour kicks off in late February under his Oliver Heldens artist name. In the midst of his tour, he also makes his debut as Hi-Lo at San Diego's CRSSD Festival, which takes place March 5 and 6.
On opening duties, we welcome Jay Douzi, a Los Angeles native that draws inspiration from his art background, channeling his unique styles into every one of his sets. Hear more from Jay Douzi here.
The Lab LA is strongly powered by Void Acoustics. Subscribe to Mixmag TV and tune in Saturday morning to watch Oliver Heldens in The Lab LA.
