OGUZ launches new label, shares next track in Summer Series of releases

OGUZ has launched his new label and collective, 808 STUDIOS, sharing its first output under the Summer Series umbrella.

This week (August 25) the third track of six in the series was released - 'I AM NOT A WHORE' - formed as a driving rave cut, with clattering symbols, hefty kick drums and an echoey vocal. It has already proven successful across the dancefloors landed on by the Dutch/Turkish producer and DJ.

"808 STUDIOS aims to amplify diverse voices and emotions, breaking free from rigid genres," OGUZ tells Mixmag on the concept behind his new endeavour. "Witnessing the enthusiasm from people for this project is mind-blowing, and it fuels my drive to connect cultures and create a lasting impact through music."

The idea, he adds, is to embrace and nurture undiscovered and upcoming talent with focus on artistic expression over big names, and his previous label outputs - 'GOLDEN SZN' and 'FC Horsepower' - have already amassed over eight million plays

“I hope to connect cultures and styles as well as provide a platform for artists to showcase."

Summer Series releases are bi-weekly, lasting until October.
