Nile Rodgers has missed first show ever after being hospitalised
Rodgers is currently on tour with Chic and Earth, Wind & Fire
Nile Rodgers was forced to miss his first show ever after an unexpected hospitalisation last night.
The Chic star was expected to play Toronto’s Air Canada Centre alongside his band and Earth, Wind & Fire as part of 2054: The Tour, but pulled out due to unforeseen health circumstances.
Rodgers took to Twitter to thank his fans and doctors for their support writing “I’ve never missed one gig in my life… well, it’s been that way till now”. He added: “The Dr. caught me trying to sneak out.”
Chic are set to return later this year with their long-awaited comeback album, titled 'It's About Time'.
