New York to receive an 'East Coast Coachella', Panorama Festival

Another US festival has arrived

Goldenvoice, the promoter behind the US' leading music festival Coachella, has officially announced the forthcoming arrival of an East Coast counterpart, Panorama Festival.

Set to take place in New York's Randall's Island Park over the July 22 to 24 weekend, Panorama Festival has defied all odds and confirmed its arrival in the coming summer of 2016. Previously, popular New York festival Governors Ball organizers had put forth a petition to stop the proposed Panorama Festival from coming into the city in fear that the competition would destroy ticket sales.

To make everyone happy, Panorama Festival changed its previously proposed date (which was originally set to be just two weeks after Governors Ball) and is now scheduled to be a full seven weeks behind its fellow New York festival.

When rumors of Goldenvoice's interest in bringing an New York-based festival to life, immediately, the show became labeled as the "East Coast Coachella". While any details about the format and line up of the show remain to be seen, Goldenvoice has confirmed that much like Coachella, Panorama will be a three-day celebration of music, art, technology and local food.

Stay tuned for more details including tickets and line ups for Panorama Festival.
