Owners of Pikes and Ibiza Rocks launch new 6000-capacity venue in San Antonio
Set within the former site of The Zoo Project, 528 Ibiza will host its first electronic shows this July
The White Isle is set to welcome a brand new, 6000-capacity venue this summer, 528 Ibiza.
Coming from Ibiza Rocks Group (IRG), the owners of Pikes and Ibiza Rocks, the venue is set to take over the former zoo once held by The Zoo Project in Benimussa, San Antonio.
Set to host its first run of electronic shows in July, with a run of parties from the likes of Brunch Electronik and BBC Radio 1 Dance, 528 Ibiza is described as a "versatile space," with multiple indoor and outdoor spaces, nestled amongst “scenic hills, untouched farmlands, fragrant lemon orchards” and with, “elevated views towards the golden sunset”.
According to a description on 528's website, the venue will consist of three stages: The Garden and The Park, which will act as 528 Ibiza's "premier outdoor music venues."

The website lists their combined "festival capacity" at around 6,000, while The Garden Stage and The Park hold 4,000 and 2,500 respectively. While the indoor Teatro, renovated into a contemporary theatre venue in 2021, is said to hold around 1,000 people standing.
528 will also host events on its Terrace, a private rooftop with a standing capacity of 1,000 — though the space has also been designed to cater for banquets and other events.
Andy McKay, the CEO of IRG has described the venue as a “one-of-a-kind" space "with the ability to curate both world-class events and intimate occasions infused in Ibiza’s nature."
"We are uniquely placed to connect people to the true energy of Ibiza through music, culture, community and collaboration,” he continues.
To showcase the venue's multi-use capability, 528 will host a one-off orchestral performance this Saturday, The Eivissa Daurada Concerts, by Candlelight, set to feature music from the likes of Ludovico Einaudi, Hans Zimmer and Max Richter on the terrace.
