The Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands and AURORA release debut album as TOMORA
‘COME CLOSER’, the debut album from TOMORA, the collaborative project from The Chemical Brothers member Tom Rowlands and Norwegian art-pop artist AURORA, is out now via Capitol Records.
Speaking about the 12-track album, the duo said: “This is the music that we’ve been waiting to make…the hardness with the soft, the ugly with the beautiful… It’s about connection. It is our own world — one that only exists when we meet and create together.”
A new video has also been released for album track ‘I DRINK THE LIGHT’.
"We wrote ‘I DRINK THE LIGHT’ whilst watching the light glitter and dance off the shimmering fjord in Norway,” say TOMORA. “We wanted to write a song that felt like witnessing the wonders of Earth for the very first time. The song is an exploration of light sensations and fluid dynamics. We taste the earth, we swallow the sun, we are one with the fabric of life, and most importantly of all, we drink the light."

Nine Inch Nails share Boys Noize collaborative album, 'Nine Inch Noize'
Having made their debut as Nine Inch Noize at Coachella, the collaborative project between Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize has now been "culminated" with the release of new 12-track album 'Nine in Noize', which landed via Interscope Records on April 17.
The new record features nine reworks of classic NIN tracks, with added production flair from Boys Noize, including 'Vessel, 'Closer', 'Parasite', 'Heresay' and 'As Alive As You Need Me To Be'.
“The creative fulfillment of working on the Challengers and TRON scores with Boys Noize led me to think that including him in the Peel It Back Tour could be an interesting way to express NIN in more purely electronic terms live – a concept I’ve wanted to explore for some time," says NIN frontman Trent Reznor.
"On a whim I mentioned it would be cool to play a whole set as Nine Inch Noize in the Sahara tent at Coachella," he continues. "Careful what you wish for… the next thing I knew we were designing a whole new show to present in the way it deserved.
"There’s no surprise tour announcement – this Saturday is it. I’m taking Sunday off and excited to be working on new Nine Inch Nails music Monday – I’ll see you when I come up for air. We recorded this album all over the place – some of it’s live, some in studios, hotels, planes, etc. We had a lot of fun revisiting these songs and hope you enjoy. Listen LOUD.”
