New Masters At Work and Nuyorican Soul albums are in the works
Louie Vega and Kenny Dope have made nine tracks from the forthcoming Nuyorican Soul record
New York house legend Louie Vega has confirmed that work on new Masters At Work and Nuyorican Soul albums is underway.
In an interview with DJ Mag, Louie Vega revealed that he and Kenny Dope have made significant progress on towards a release for Nuyorican Soul.
“We’ve been working on a new Nuyorican Soul,” Vega told DJ Mag, “We already did about nine tracks, and it’s feeling really good".
Vega reports the iconic duo are keeping busy elsewhere, simultaneously working on a new Masters At Work album alongside various other projects.

According to Vega, the New York duo are involved in an album with Brian Jackson, former musical partner to Gil Scott-Heron, as well as continuing their ongoing collaboration with Josh Milan titled Two Soul Fusion.
Last week, the pair shared the latest track in their series of 'MAW Lost Tapes'. Titled 'Lost Jig', the record is the fourteenth in a string of releases from the Masters At Work archive.
The previously unheard tracks were discovered when the duo set to work digitalising all the 2-inch master tapes they had collected.
After 25 years of musical collaboration, there were said to be 750 tapes, with 2-3 previously unreleased tracks per tape.
