New event from Glastonbury team to "probably" arrive in 2019
The set times for this year's festival have also been announced
Glastonbury's Emily Eavis has spoken more about the event she teased on Twitter earlier this month.
She's confirmed it'll be taken care of by the same team of organisers behind Glastonbury, saying "probably 2019" is when it'll take place. She had originally said it could be in 2018.
Despite initial rumours indicating Glasto would be leaving Worthy Farm for a larger site, this new event, yet to be named, will be a completely separate entity to the festival her father, Michael, founded in 1970.
Emily Eavis said: “We are going to do a show somewhere else with the same team behind Glastonbury but it hasn’t got a name yet and we’re still not entirely sure what shape it’s going to take.
“For now we’re all [focused] on Worthy Farm. We’re not thinking too far down that road because we’re quite busy with this one at the moment!”
