Neana self-releases new mixtape

Neana has put out a new mixtape titled ‘The Trak Record’, which features a selection of music written between 2013 to 2016.

Speaking about the mixtape, the Night Slugs and Gang Fatale producer said: “This is a collection of beats that I always wanted to share. Beats that twist samples from a variety of sources, with an intense focus on rhythm.

“It was made during a period where I was using Vine a lot, mainly to document daily activities, find sources and share previews of my work. Vine was as chopped and meme-friendly as my own beats, which is why I decided to present them explicitly in YouTube playlist format. The Vine loops phase around the music in the same way a hook or a rhythm would get stuck in your brain and that was a large part of the process for this project.”
