Mysterious website alludes to Daft Punk tour next year

Rumours initially surfaced last week

Will Daft Punk be touring next year? That's the question on everyone's lips right now.

A page dedicated to the French pair on the Lollapalooza website sparked rumours that they'd be playing the Chicago festival next year and now a website titled 'Alive 2017' has appeared.

Dubious as it is, it makes sense that the website could be one for a tour, following the the trend cemented by their 'Alive 1997' and 'Alive 2007' live albums.

As NME points out, computer bods have dissected the the page's source code to reveal the numbers a batch of numbers believed to be coordinates for Paris, London, Los Angeles, New York, Tokyo, Sao Paulo, Ibiza and Indio - all possible tour locations.

Also, if you zoom in on the web page, a sequence of numbers (which seem to be a countdown timer) appear on the 'I' of 'Alive'.

October 27 is the date the countdown timer is thought to end, so keep an eye out for an announcement then.

For now, though, you can check out photos of their first ever live UK tour here.
