MUTEK confirms dates for US debut in San Francisco
The festival is currently taking online artist submissions
The global music festival MUTEK has confirmed its US debut. Having hinted at the new festival with a number of graffiti teasers around the city, MUTEK will make landfall in San Francisco from May 3 - 6 in 2018.
Since its debut in 2000, MUTEK’s reputation for fostering and elevating live contemporary electronic music has spread like wildfire. With annual festivals now established in Mexico City, Tokyo, Dubai, Buenos Aires and its hometown of Montreal, MUTEK’s global expansion shows no signs of slowing down.
Lineup announcements and other various elements of the festival’s programming will be revealed in the weeks to come. In the meantime, the festival has created a submission page and are encouraging US artists who are “working on projects exploring new aesthetic avenues in digital creation and electronic music” to submit their work.
