Music subscription service Drip is closing
A true loss for independent distributors
Drip, the music subscription platform, has shared an open letter from its founders announcing its closure.
Drip was affiliated with number of independent labels and artists like Dirtybird, Stone’s Throw, Mad Decent, The Bunker, King Britt among many others. Drip was born out of a desire to generate and filter money and support from consumer to the artist directly. The subscription service does intend to fully pay out all labels and artists associated with it before shutting down completely. Drip also plans to spend the time after closure to “regroup to refocus”.
Drip is set to close on March 18, and the open letter can be read in full here.
