Mumdance and WIFE announce debut album as Bliss Signal
Tracing a line between, “blackened metal, driving electronic rhythms and ethereal atmospherics”
Mumdance and WIFE are releasing their debut album as Bliss Signal.
UK innovator Mumdance and Altar of Plagues mastermind WIFE first debuted their Bliss Signal project at Unsound Krakow back in 2017.
Bringing together their distinctive influences spanning underground electronic music and metal respectively, the unlikely pair have revealed the next phase in the collaboration as they prepare to release their eight-track LP via True Panther and Profound Lore Recordings.
The forthcoming album is set to take the, “frenzy and repetition of body-focused electronic music and pairs it with extreme metal’s core elements, resulting in a visceral, often hypnotic, hybrid that belongs neither on a dancefloor nor in a mosh pit,” according to a press release.
The new self-titled album follows up the duo’s ‘Drift’ EP, which released earlier this summer.
‘Bliss Signal’ land September 28 via True Panther and Profound Lore Recordings. Check out annihilating album cut ‘Surge’ below.
