Mugwump feat Circlesquare - 6/10

Mugwump's debut LP 'Unspell' was released to great acclaim and has already given us two singles, plus remixes by Andrew Weatherall, Mark E, and Jack Savidge. Subfield are now giving the album's opening track 'After They Fall' the full treatment by Dance Duos only. Tuff City Kids aka Gerd Janson and Lauer turn in an upbeat Italo-tinged house rework. Runaway are Jacques Renault and Marcos Cabral who give a nod to the house legends Mood 2 Swing with their hypnotic remix. Eskimo Twins stay close to the original to create a pitched-down acid chugger. Mugwump himself, with DC Salas, has a new take on his album track, which recalls the disco-techno sound of early Black Strobe.
