Kendrick Lamar has been nominated for eight MTV Video Music Awards
DJ Khaled, Chance The Rapper and SZA also make the cut
MTV has announced its list of nominees for the 2017 Video Music Awards on Instagram.
This year's new categories include Artist of The Year, a category of the best male video and best female video. Nominations for Artist of The Year include Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Kendrick Lamar (pictured), Bruno Mars, The Weeknd and Lorde.
The other new category this year is called Best Fight Against The System.
Kendrick Lamar has been nominated eight times for his music video ‘HUMBLE’, while Katy Perry and The Weeknd have both received five nominations each.
Other nominees across the board include the likes of DJ Khaled, Chance the Rapper, Miley Cyrus, Coldplay, Major Lazer and Afrojack
The VMA awards will be held on August 27.
