Motown and Carhartt WIP release anniversary capsule collection

A collaboration to celebrate the iconic record label’s 60th anniversary

Carhartt WIP and legendary record label Motown have teamed up for an exclusive AW19 apparel capsule collection to celebrate the latter’s 60th anniversary.

Bringing two homegrown iconic labels together, the two have combined to create a thirteen piece collection that nods to the idiosyncrasies of a hallowed record label that helped shape American music.

The capsule features a sateen bomber, beanies and graphic tees and hoodies all paying tribute to different aspects of Motown's history, this is rounded off by Japanese lollipop-style headphones made with Phonon.

The collaboration also throws out some strong co-branded logo pieces, from the large logo prints of SS Motown x Carhartt WIP T-Shirt and the Hooded Motown Sweat, to the smaller multiple logo prints on the LS Motown Sublabels T-Shirt with a stripe of Motown subsidiary label logos printed down both sleeves in various colours.
