Moiré

Industrial techno monster

Moiré's debut album 'Shelter' was a mix of lively house jams and murky, slo-mo creepers, the latter arriving in the form of 'Attitude'.

That came via Werk Discs, the Actress-founded sub-label of Ninja Tune, and he's also released on Dutch imprint Rush Hour Recordings, giving us deep, driving tunes like 'I Don't Get It' and 'Real Special'.

R&S Records is his next home, releasing the four-track 'Gel' EP. Of the release, the London-based producer says he was "inspired by minimalism, ambience and most of all, the power of club and music spaces".

The word 'power' definitely comes to mind on 'Blind', thumping and pumping the whole way through, fueled by wincing scratches, cranky distortion and aggravated claps, creating one hell of an angry, industrial techno monster.

The 'Gel' EP is out on R&S Records on October 9. Buy it on R&S and Bandcamp
