Ministry of Sound hosts HIV fundraiser for World Aids Day
Music brings unity to one of the world's most pressing issues
Ministry of Sound has just announced a compelling event to take place this November in support of World AIDS Day.
The fundraiser, A Night In Paradise, will pay a full-on homage to Paradise Garage, fashioning a themed party inviting iconic New York DJs that were critical to the club's revolution in the late 1970s and '80s.
The Paradise Garage movement has become a symbol of club culture and a true monument of the LGBT community. In times when homosexuality could be seen as disreputable, the underground sound became a safe haven for individuals challenging the status quo. The entire crusade was a brilliant representation of the unity brought on by dance music and nightlife.
New York's Jellybean Benitez, Joy Llanos, Victor Rosado and David Depino will be to the Ministry Of Sound on the special night. From other outlets, the venue also brings Justin Berkmann, Terry Farley, Ricky Morrison and many more.
A Night In Paradise is an official fundraiser for the two largest HIV charities in the world: New York's Gay Men's Health Crisis and UK's Terrence Higgins Trust.
The event will take place on November 27 in preparation for World AIDS Day on December 1.
