Mike Skinner teams up with Alexa Chung for an exclusive new track and video
A triple threat from Skinner
Mike Skinner has directed an exclusive video for the launch of Alexa Chung’s debut designer collection, featuring a new, original track titled ‘In My Head’.
The video, shot as part of Chung’s ‘ALEXACHUNG’ launch with luxury online retailer mytheresa.com, sees the musician and multi-talented model reunited after her appearance in The Street’s 2004 music video for ‘Could Well Be In’.
Shot in Ireland, with flashback footage to the 2004 film, ‘In My Head’ sees Skinner take his The Darker the Shadow the Brighter The Light solo incarnation through the dive bars of Cork to the grandeur of Lismore Castle in typical, lyrical style.
Speaking about the film, Skinner said: “ I imagined we could both end up there but in different ways. Me DJ-ing at my club night TONGA, and Alexa campaigning for her beautiful clothes.”
