Metroplane

Alex Metric and Aeroplane showcase their new project

Separately, Metroplane might be more familiar to most as individual talents Alex Metric and Aeroplane.

Alex Metric comes from releases off OWSLA and Big Beat while Aeroplane has dominated as a staple from the nu-disco realm, a distant variation in their individual sounds that might make the pairing an unexpected one.

But what began as an impromptu b2b on a cruise in Asia has now become Sweat It Out Music's newest output known from now on as Metroplane. The two naturally came together after discovering an unmistakable ease in their back-to-back sets and eventually, the UK and Belgian talents decided to move ahead and make a record together.

After revealing the leading 'Mr. E' from their upcoming EP, Metroplane have now delivered 'Over Me' exclusively to Mixmag as the second enticing preview to what the couplet have in store.

Immediately, 'Over Me' lends heavily to Aeroplane's previous catalogue with poppy disco-infused vibes, but still reminds listeners that this is no longer an individual project, but instead a Metroplane output with edgier moments that properly remind of Alex Metric's influence as well.
