Melbourne Music Week announces 2016 program

Electronic music takes over the State Library Victoria from November 11 to 19

Melbourne Music Week has announced its full 2016 program and, as always, there are plenty of forward-thinking electronic events on the cards for November.

Each year the festival takes over a landmark venue as its hub and this year the State Library Victoria and its Queen's Hall will be turned into a unique performance space.

MIND GAMERS (pictured), the new project from Sébastien Tellier, Daniel Stricker from Midnight Juggernauts and Blood Orange's John Kirby, will play their first show in the city, with free entry, on Thursday November 17.

Seminal Australian electronic act Severed Heads will be joined by live disco three-piece Harvey Sutherland & Bermuda and Young Magic on Saturday November 12.

Dan White, Cale Sexton and Louis McCoy will play a Heads With Tales party on Thursday November 17.

Local label Good Manners will close things out with their biggest party to date, featuring HVOB, Seekae, Dro Carey and LUCIANBLOMKAMP on Saturday November 19.

There's also a 'Make Your Own Synth' workshop on Saturday November 12.

Melbourne Music Week takes place from November 11 to 19, 2016. Check the full program and grab tickets here.
