MC Skibadee has died aged 47
His family announced the MC's passing on social media earlier today
Drum 'n' bass MC Skibadee has died, his family has announced on social media, although they are yet to confirm a cause of death.
The statement was posted on Facebook on Sunday afternoon, reading: "Hello everyone, as Alphonsos first born i unfortunately come some with sad news to say that skibadee has passed away, as a family we ask for some privacy but may he rest in peace".
Having started out on City Sound Radio in 1993, his career grew exponentially, garnering several awards for Best Drum 'n' Bass MC over the years.
Skibadee was also a member of drum 'n' bass group SASASAS, who released album 'Unite (DJ Mix)' last year and more recently, single 'Finally'.
Since the announcement, tributes have been pouring in on social media recognising the London-born MC's endeavours, with Skibadee being labelled 'favourite MC’s favourite MC’s favourite MC', amongst other heartfelt messages.
