Mayan Warrior announces Los Angeles Halloween event featuring new art car
The event, in collaboration with Stranger Than, marks the start of a new chapter for Mayan Warrior
Mayan Warrior has announced a new Halloween event, taking place in Los Angeles on October 26.
It's thrown in collaboration with Los Angeles collective Stranger Than, which has gained recognition for hosting innovative events in interesting and unique urban spaces and locations.
The event will see Mayan Warrior bring its new art car, called the ‘Mayan Warrior Galaxyer’, following on from its debut earlier this year at Burning Man. The newest edition replaces the original Mayan Warrior art car which was unfortunately destroyed last year after catching fire and burning to ashes.
It had been a staple of Burning Man since its inception in 2012, as well as growing into a popular touring event showcasing Mexican and international music talent.

The new car is a feat of engineering, fusing “ancient artistry with state-of-the-art technology”, including custom LED screens, a d&b KLS soundsystem which is nearly twice as powerful as the previous system, and 400 watt lasers, continuing the thematic and design template of the original car.
The car is meant to symbolise the soul of “the last Mayan Warrior traveling through space, time, and the cosmos”, with Mayan Warrior founder Pablo Gonzales Vargas saying, “Let this be a portal to higher alternate states of consciousness of transcendental self-discovery.”
