Matt Lange
A dark, rumbling return out soon on his own imprint isoRhythm
A name quickly and deservedly rising to the top of the saturated pile of producers is Matt Lange, who arrived in Los Angeles by way of his Manhattan roots.
And while the opinion of any one mentor might not usually fully define an artist's career, Lange was able to enrapture the attention of none other than Deadmau5 with no antics and no frills - just the commanding and finessed skill of his own makings - an early sign and perhaps, tipping point for the producer's then developing sound.
Since, he's become a leading face of the new wave of mau5trap talents and saw the release of his debut full-length 'Ephemera' almost exactly a year ago.
Though 'down time' isn't quite the way to describe his year on the road touring out his inaugural album, anticipation has certainly been building for more originals from Matt's genius - and today, he delivers.
'Unsettled' leaves no room for warming up and settling in slowly as Lange proves he's more than ready to jump back into the production saddle from the very first second. With a roaring bass line and a dark pulse that would excite even the most seasoned of techno mavens, 'Unsettled' is the fulfilling outcome of his intricate, fine-trained ear and penchant for booming, cinematic productions.
After first playing out 'Unsettled' at Smirnoff House Nocturnal Wonderland with Mixmag, Matt Lange prepares to head out on a full North American tour with stops in San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle and more.
'Unsettled' is out on Matt's own label isoRhythm on September 16.
