Massive Attack's new EP rekindles the 'Ritual Spirit'

Massive Attack promised us brand new material this year and we've now got the first official delivery in the shape of an EP.

Roots Manuva, Young Fathers and London singer-songwriter Azekel all feature on 'Ritual Spirit', as does former member Tricky.

Tricky features on the 3D-produced 'Take It There', a tune busy with prominent piano chords, lying beneath the croaky spoken verses and snippets of singing.

According to Pitchfork, there's another EP arriving in spring and their first album since 2010 is expected to drop before the year's out.
