Markus Schulz - 8/10
'Watch The World'
If ever there was an artist who likes to experiment with their style, it’s Markus Schulz. He went from being deep with albums like ‘Progression’ in 2007 to more big-room sounds with ‘Scream’ in 2012.
Now, he’s taken his sixth studio album in another direction altogether. More poppy than previous releases, ‘Watch The World’ sounds like it could have been made by Armin, featuring mainly vocal tracks with lyrics from the likes of CAYO, Adina Butar and Delacey.
As well as featuring other well-known tracks such as ‘Face Down’ and ‘I Hear You Calling’, there are some future anthems, too, including a collaboration with Kyau & Albert.
All the best artists get results by playing around with their work – and this album is definitely a work of art.
