Mark Williams shares second Hardgroove release of 2023 following eight year hiatus
"The time I spent away from the music scene gave me the opportunity to reflect and to experiment with my music productions"
Mark Williams has returned to Hardgroove for the second time this year, following his July release 'Bring You Love' which marked the end of an eight year hiatus.
To close 2023, he has shared 'Hornchurch Hustlers EP' on Ben Sims' seminal label.

Relentless in its fashion, 'Next 21s' opens the record with raucous percussives and piercing stabs to craft a passion-fuelled peak time techno affair, before 'Sometimes' welcomes thicker-set percussives an influences taken from liquid d'n'b and 'The Groove Has Begun' marks the crescendo of the EP.
Taking things more experimental for the closing offerings, 'East Side Dub' and 'East Side - Part 2' draw upon fusions of jazz and broken techno and beatless, modern soul respectively. This sonic exploration, Williams explains, is owed to his break from music:
"The time I spent away from the music scene gave me the opportunity to reflect and to experiment with my music productions. In the process of creating and developing new sounds I realised how much I still love making music," he explains. "So, when Ben Sims asked me if I would be interested in making an EP for his label, I said: 'great, can’t wait!'"
