Manni Dee launches new imprint with self-released EP announcement
'The World Goes On Without You' explores a different avenue of the artist's usual sounds
Producer and DJ Manni Dee has launched his new imprint, Silk + Steel. To kick things off, he's dropping a self-released EP, 'The World Goes On Without You'.
The three-track EP fuses Hip Hop sounds with techno, nodding towards a more progressive soundscape, opposed to the rave-heavy sound previously heard from the producer.
'The World Goes On Without You' is set for a digital release on July 15, with lead track 'The Remedy' having dropped this week.

"Being British Asian I always felt in between cultures - those cultures & sounds are finally synthesising & it’s in that space where I feel at home," explains Manni.
"This is reflected in the EP as it’s a natural, authentic evolution, intersecting the genres I love; hip hop, hyperpop & techno."
Lead 'The Remedy' features Chinese-Nigerian-UK rapper Di-Vincent, and is a thumping 140BPM cut which pays homage to Manni's Hip Hop roots.

'Pillow Princess' is a blend of techno and hyperpop, which features singer-songwriter ANGEL BBY, whilst final track 'See Me Now' is a synth-driven driver to end the EP on a high.
Based in London, the producer has become well established for his 'Silk + Steel' event at FOLD: a platform which elevates genre-defying artists with the aim to push UK dance culture forwards. Besides this, he's released tunes on Tresor, Perc Trax and Possession to cultivate a sound which is dubbed as showing 'no boundaries'.
