Manchester’s Ritz club is trying find the owner of a wallet lost 30 years ago
Don’t give up on that misplaced possession just yet
If you’ve ever lost a valued possession while out on the sesh and mourned for its loss, all hope may not be lost.
Manchester club O2 Ritz has discovered a wallet lost 30 years ago down the back of a radiator and is hoping to reunite the lost property with its owner.
The brown leather wallet is a snapshot of the time period. It contains a cheque card from the obsolete Midland Bank belonging to an Elizabeth Sarah Dale, 12 pence in change, a Cheshire Libraries and Museums card, a University of Manchester Whitworth Park Residents’ Association card from the academic year 1985/86 and a payslip.
Speaking about the endeavour, Chris Mann, O2 Ritz’s bar manager, said: “We were clearing out the other day and it had fallen down the back of a radiator.
“She would been about 18 or 19 back then, so might be in her early 50s.
“It’s coming up to our 90th birthday so it might be nice to reunite it with its owner.
“We want to find out what they were doing in the Ritz and whether they actually remember it.”
