Manchester's Do As You Please celebrates fifth birthday, relaunches label and parties

The label launch is accompanied by a V/A featuring entirely local names

Manchester's Do As You Please is celebrating its fifth birthday by relaunching its label, sharing a new V/A and throwing two parties

The first party took place at the city's Ramona yesterday with another taking place on Sunday, August 27. Those on the line-up include Joe Roche, Nathan Pinder and Samo Lung b2b Sabrina.

Meanwhile, after a two year hiatus, the label arm of DAYP is relaunching with the release of an eight-track V/A compilation, 'With Us Vol.2'.

The record is filled entirely by local producers, calling upon old and new friends of the imprint to celebrate the milestone anniversary. Expect acid tinges, deep house cuts, classic US house and techno and tech-house weapons.

"Do As You Please has had an amazing start to its life, albeit turbulent with the effects of the pandemic," explains founder Niall Roche. "Now the world is open again, the brand, our artists and allies are all growing at an incredible rate and we wanted to celebrate this together in true Mancunian fashion. Our sights are to tie community, music, art and fashion into an innovative, inclusive ecosystem and our incredible label release and relaunch parties will be the collective rebirth of that vision and journey.

"The compilation release is something we’re all incredibly proud of and the music is the label’s best so far. We’re happy to house and support some of the north’s most exciting up and coming talent.”
