Man stabbed at Reggae Land festival left in “critical condition”
The incident took place at the Milton Keynes event on Sunday night
A man has been left in critical condition after he was attacked at Milton Keynes festival Reggae Land on Sunday evening.
The incident took place during the event at Milton Keynes Bowl on Sunday evening, Thames Valley Police reported on Facebook last night (August 4).
“Thames Valley Police is investigating an assault of a man at Reggae Land Festival in Milton Keynes,” they wrote in the statement.
The incident was thought to have taken place at around 8:50PM inside the venue. Police confirmed that they had taken statements from witnesses, and are currently carrying out “forensic examinations as well as CCTV enquiries”.
“Medical staff attended the scene and the injured man was taken to hospital with stab wounds. His condition is described as critical," they explained.
Thames Valley Police added that the attack was believed to be “targeted”, and that there was “no risk to festivalgoers or the wider public”.
“Working very closely with the event organisers and their security team, we are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident," a Thames Valley Police spokesperson confirmed.
Reggae Land festival took place over the weekend from August 3 - 4 featuring artists including Gentleman’s Dub Club, Shabba Ranks, General Levy, Popcaan, Koffee, and more.
