The first magic mushroom factory found in the UK for 20 years has been busted by police
Over £5000 worth of magic mushrooms and cannabis were found at the farm in Cambridgeshire
Long the preserve of amateur enthusiasts since they were made illegal in the UK in 2005, magic mushrooms have become so popular beyond their psychedelic niche that police are now busting shroom "farms".
We've reported on the current magic mushroom renaissance and how students have been turning to psychedelics during lockdown – now the first magic mushroom farm to be found by police in over 20 years has been busted by police.

Cops in Cambridgeshire raided a house in Huntingdon and found over £5000 worth of magic mushrooms and cannabis. A man and woman in their 20s were arrested and have since been bailed until April 6.
LADbible reports that police found at least 11 trays used to grow magic mushrooms, which are a Class A drug, as well as the growing of cannabis, which is a Class B drug.

The last time a magic mushroom factory was busted in the UK was in 1998 when a man was jailed for a year for growing the fungi in an industrial unit in Hertfordshire.
Talking about the Huntingdon raid, PC Tom Russell said: "We use information submitted by members of the public as well as our own intelligence to carry out drugs warrants.
"The public are often our eyes and ears and it's vital they continue to report information and concerns to us."
