M.A.N.D.Y.'s debut album is a 'Double Fantasy'

It’s the duo’s first album project after 16 years in the business

German duo M.A.N.D.Y., aka Patrick Bodmer & Philipp Jung, have announced the release of their debut album, ‘Double Fantasy’, which drops on November 11.

M.A.N.D.Y. composed 50 tracks for their album, before settling on the final 12 that make up the LP which features collaborations with Francesco Tristano, Bob Moses' Jimmy Vallance and Brett Johnson.

The record also includes a new version of 'Body Language', which they released in 2005 with Booka Shade.

Jung said: “Of course we had the idea to make an official M.A.N.D.Y. album a long time ago, but we did not want a stapled-together snapshot. After all, we were and are on the road worldwide pretty much constantly. So the endeavour took a little bit longer than expected”.

Bodmer added: “In a career, it’s expected to release a long-format as soon as possible. For us, it was not the most important thing in the universe!”
