LUXE releases trippy five-track EP, 'Mineral & Moss'
The record was written following an inspired trip to Berlin
LUXE has released her new EP, 'Mineral & Moss', via Planet Euphorique.
The record houses five sleek, trippy cuts of club music which defy genre definition yet are tied together by their unifying rave-ready sound.
Things kick off with the surreal 'A Team', with the minimal infrastructure to open the EP giving way to flourishing melodies and timbre throughout each track. Things close off on the melting, bubbly 'Pixie Swamp' rounding off the feminine and ethereal elements interlaced within the pumping body of work.

'Mineral & Moss', LUXE explains, pulled together in relatively little time following an inspiring trip: "I wrote the Planet Euphorique record after a beautiful weekend in Berlin," she explains. "It flowed really well and I pretty much wrote the whole EP in a week or two, with additional time over the coming months for fine tuning."
This EP follows on from the Brighton-born, London-based producer and DJ's debut release in 2022 with 'Belonging' dropping on HAAi's Radical New Theory which traverses listeners through breakbeat, progressive house and psytrance.
With her sound heavily influenced by her university days in Manchester where the artist discovered her love for club music, 'Mineral & Moss' builds upon LUXE's establishing sonic identity as one drawn from breadths of inspiration emerging from around her combined with years trained in classical music. And through applying these creative perspectives into her DJ sets by weaving through styles and rejecting categorisation, she is continually striving to develop and explore the relationship between performance and production even more so when a forthcoming debut album "in the works" is of resource to incorporate into her DJ work.
