Purveyor of all things underground, Sheffield-born, Manchester-based Luke Una has been causing havoc on the dancefloor for the best part of 40 years. Luke Una has been essential to the birth of some of Manchester’s most important club nights including Electric Chair, which he ran in partnership with Justin Crawford for some 13 years, and Homoelectric, a queer Manchester staple that egged on the launch of Homobloc festival. His legacy continues rife in Manchester’s club scene and has permeated through the city’s ever-growing queer community and underground club nights over the years. In a recent venture, Luke Una has curated the second volume of a new 18-track compilation via Mr Bongo, 'É Soul Cultura Vol. 2', out now.
