Louie Vega's Roots NYC announces tribute show for Sa’D “The Hourchild” Ali
A benefit concert featuring Anané, Soul Clap, FSQ and more
Louie Vega and Kevin Hedge’s weekly Roots NYC club night is taking over Cielo on Wednesday, November 28 to celebrate the life of the late Parliament-Funkadelic member Sa’D “The Hourchild” Ali.
Well versed and respected in the worlds of house, hip-hop, funk, disco and beyond, Sa’D “The Hourchild” Ali played a large role in shaping the sound of artists such as Atomicheadz, FSQ, Soul Clap and more. Following his untimely death earlier this year, Roots NYC has decided to dedicate one of their weekly club nights to commemorate the artist's extraordinary life and appreciate his musical impact.
Joining Louie Vega behind the decks for this tribute will be Soul Clap, Anané, FSQ, Wendy Escobar and Holmar. All the proceeds from the night will be donated to Sa’D “The Hourchild” Ali's family.
Roots NYC Presents "A Tribute To Sa'd Ali" goes down on Wednesday, November 28 from 9pm to 4am at Cielo.
