Los Angeles x Berlin compilation set to drop this month

It'll be a digital V/A featuring a range of eclectic genres and sounds

Creative platform YMA has partnered up with Berlin's Springstoff to curate various artists compilation 'Los Angeles X Berlin'.

The multi-genre collection follows the success of YMA's 'Detroit x Berlin' December 2021 compilation, and represents artists from both cities in each of the 10 tracks.

It's set to offer a variety of eclectic genres and sounds - think techno, electro, electronica, ambient and experimental pop - from names including Bison Rouge, Crook, Khadija (pictured) and more. Find the full list of contributors here.

Alongside the release, which is set to drop on December 12, the record will be complemented by its own open-source soundpack, represented by LA's dublab, which will share stem bits to producers who are keen to incorporate elements into their own work.

YMA has been working closely with LA talents and connecting them to Berlin since 2016, throwing events such as From Berlin to LA 1 and 2 at Berghain, Berlin Lab, and From Germany to LA.

The compilation's hypnotic artwork is designed by Germany's Tom Singier which aims to represent the chaotic togetherness of the thoughtfully put-together 10-tracker.
