London's Colour Factory to throw its first birthday party

Taking place on Friday, it'll be a proper all night affair

London's Colour Factory is celebrating its first birthday on Friday, July 15, with a massive birthday bash.

Featuring its favourite DJs, labels and collectives who have worked with the venue across the past year, the Hackney music spot kicks off celebrations at 11pm and will finish at 6am.

In this seven-hour stretch, names on the line-up include Skinny Macho, Kingdom b2b KG - Mi-el b2b Benton, Harpies, Pxssy Palace amongst plenty more.

The venue - which as well as a nightclub and live music venue, offers itself as a food court and multi-functional venue which has served as for everything from summer day sessions to afterparties.

Those on the bill will be playing across both of the venue's spaces, 'The Factory' and 'The Mezzanine', and Colour Factory has promised "plenty of b2b action".

Colour Factory is the brainchild of Nathanael Williams, with a social mission motivating its movements, championing diversity, inclusion and equality. It is believed to be the largest Black-owned music venue in East London, which endeavours to support new talent and create opportunities for new creatives in music.

For the rest of the year, their programme includes residents such as Ahadadream, Danielle, Mechatok and Shannen SP.

The venue also provides accessible event space for LGBTQI+ communities, with regulars such as Harpies and Body Movements Festival forming the programme too.
