Lollapalooza music festival ends early due to severe storm warnings
Fans evacuated in scenes described as 'organised chaos'
Chicago music festival Lollapalooza has once again come to an early close following severe weather warnings. Even though fans were evacuated and schedules were disrupted, all of the acts managed to play their festival sets.
The festival, that in 2012 was also hit by bad weather, directed fans to several underground safety areas as warnings of heavy rain and lightning poured in from numerous news sources.
BBC News described the scenes as 'organised chaos' as thousands made their way out of the festival, aided by the organisers social media coverage, stage screen information and frequent PA announcements.
Flying Lotus, Dillon Francis, RL Grime and even music legends like Paul McCartney featured on this year's line-up. We just hope the next instalment sees an equally good line-up with a bit more weather fortune.
