LOFT and re:ni among names selected for NTS WIP 2019
The one-year artist development programme aims to support aspiring artists from around the globe
NTS Radio has revealed the final eight artists selected for its NTS WIP 2019 artist development programme.
A global network of musicians including the likes of LOFT, re:ni, Crystallmess, Azadi.mp3, Contour, La Timpa made the cut for the very first edition of the one-year initiative.
NTS WIP aims to, “support artists from all backgrounds and across all genres globally – anything from experimental club music through to traditional folk, ambient improvisations, garage punk or hip-hop," and will provide the artists with audio equipment and software, international paid performance opportunities, recording and practice studio time, an NTS radio show, press photos and more.
The shortlisted applicants were selected by the London radio station and Philipp Maiburg and Michael Leuffen from Carhartt WIP.
